The word-by-word method turns each passage into a learning aid: it helps readers recognise the vocabulary of fuṣḥā Arabic progressively, follow the recitation and understand the text, while respecting the context of every verse.

Our method
A translation open to verification
Neither mechanical literalism nor free paraphrase: a translation that stays close to each Arabic word while taking context into account, under explicit conventions that are reviewed.
Word-by-word translation
Each Arabic word or word group is translated faithfully to the text, taking the context of the verse into account, by French-speaking translators.
Systematic audit
Every translation is reread and audited word by word, under a documented protocol, and every correction is logged.
Terminological consistency
A reference lexicon (Muʼjam) ensures that each Arabic term is rendered consistently throughout the Qur’an; the choices are debated and decided collectively by the team.
Final check
Before anything is published, each page is verified: Arabic text, translation, layout. Nothing is published without human approval.

Where the work actually stands
We publish the exact state of the project every month. We only count a part as “audited” once it has been checked word by word.
A Juzʼ is one of the thirty parts of the Qur’an. Translation advances word by word, the audit verifies every choice, then the studio composes the pages in the mushaf layout — that three-stage progress is what these counters track.

What we are asked most often
Is the translation in French only?
Yes. The book is a French edition: the Arabic text of the mushaf with its French word-by-word rendering. This English page exists so that English-speaking Muslims can follow the project, share it with French-speaking relatives, and order a copy when the time comes.
Is this project religiously approved?
The translation draws on the recognised classical sources (tafsīr works and reference literature) and on a documented method: translation by French-speaking translators, systematic word-by-word audit, and collective terminological decisions recorded in a reference lexicon. We make the method visible rather than invoking endorsements: every translation choice can be traced.
Who is this translation for?
French speakers who want to learn fuṣḥā Arabic progressively through the Qur’an so they can read it with greater understanding, with no prior Arabic required — including beginners, new Muslims, students, teachers, parents and those memorising the Qur’an.
When will the book be available?
We prefer to show progress rather than promise a date. The Progress section shows the exact state of the work each month. The opening of pre-orders and the release will be announced first to subscribers to the weekly letter, in shāʼ Allah.
What is the difference between the two editions?
The Arabic text and the translation are identical. The coloured tajwid edition marks the rules of recitation with a colour code within the Arabic text; the classic edition presents the same content without the colour code, for a quieter and more fluid page.
